I am a restless musician: a percussionist, composer and sound creator specialising in classical, contemporary and world music.
My work is tailor-made and involves listening to individuality and seeking out a unique and singular sound for each project, transcending specific styles or musical forms.
The artistic challenges posed to me allow me to research, improvise and play to expand sound languages, always bearing in mind the interdisciplinarity of any artistic manifestation.
After training at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMuC) and the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, in the Netherlands, I have developed a career in which I have collaborated with Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Centro Coreográfico Galego, La Fura dels Baus, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia and the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, and I have shared the stage with Pierre Boulez, Michael Nyman, Ainhoa Arteta, Lang Lang, Paquito D’Rivera, Carlos Núñez and Cristina Pato.
My compositions and creations have been programmed and performed at venues and festivals such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Real Filharmonía de Galicia, Mercat de les Flors, Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, MACBA (Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona), IVAM (Institut Valencià d’Art Modern), Festival Grec, Temporada Alta, el Palau de la Música Catalana de Barcelona, Teatro Circo Price de Madrid and the São Paulo International Circus Festival.
The Martín Códax Galician Music Award for Só un solo (2023, classical and contemporary music category) and the awards for the best soundtrack at the Festival de Cans for Conte trencat (2020) and O neno sardiña (2023) have recognized my work. I have also received support for the creation of grants for research and innovation in performing arts from OSIC (Generalitat de Catalunya, 2020 and 2022), the Barcelona Awards 2020 grant (Institut de Cultura de Barcelona), and artistic residencies at Mariñán from the A Coruña Provincial Council (2022).
